Objective
The Object of this is to illustrate and design a full children's book cover to back.
I started off by researching various children’s books to see what the illustrators did for the cover, and their contents. I then researched the best illustration style to create a clear and concise flow for the book. For the cover, I went with a very simple design yet intriguing at the same time. I chose to do the planet as the o in Dino to add interest and mystery to the cover so that people would be interested in the book. I chose green, blue, and orange to make the book stand out and pop while also having a muted dark colour for the background in outer space. I didn’t want the background to be pure black, however, as that would make things too dark.
I used Adobe Illustrator and all the effects and functions within the program to illustrate all of the pictures that would be on the pages
I used Adobe Indesign and all the effects and functions within the program to design the layout of the pictures from Illustrator.
