Objective
The Object of this is to design and create a motivational poster and then animate the words to an interesting effect.
I started by researching quotes from the TV show Avatar The Last Airbender, after finding a quote from Iroh in the show that I was happy with I then began to play around with the text in illustrator to create the proper emphasis on the keywords in the phrase. After getting the text the way I liked I then created the illustration using various images as reference. After the illustration was done it was time to take it into after effects and animate it. While animating I realized I needed more motion to happy so I added wind near the end to blow the word Airbender, and I created a white lotus tile in the bottom right, which is constantly spinning as I wanted something to always be moving in this piece.
I used Adobe Illustrator and all the effects and functions within the program to illustrate the background, the text, the character, and the teacup. I then imported all of this into After Effects.
I used After Effects to create the animation. By importing the various text, and images into the program than making sure the timing of the words appearing coincided with the background beat.
