Objective
To create a season's greetings for the company Din0's which was rebranded earlier by myself. they wanted me to create a mascot to go along with this animation.
After having re-branded Din0’s I already was familiar with the product, so researching was limited (I still did research other seasons' greetings videos and even Christmas cards to get inspiration for a quote). I went ahead and created all the elements in Adobe Illustrator, then imported them into After Effects. After this, I created the animation using various techniques within the program. I wanted it to be slightly comical but still have the feeling of an arcade-like video game, so that's why I had Chip (the Mascot of Din0’s) running to the right while avoiding the falling chocolate chips. The background music I wanted it too have an intense feeling while also being slightly upbeat so I added a drum beat in the background.
I used Adobe Illustrator to create the art assets which where then brought over into After effects for animation.
I used After Effects in order to animate the greeting animation after importing all the files from Illustrator.
